Decorate it with greenery

Make your school’s library seem more “wild.” Decorate it with greenery that looks like it belongs in a jungle. Place stuffed animal birds and snakes throughout. Play a CD of jungle noises. When students come in, explain that books can allow them to “visit” exciting places. Hand out “Wild About Reading” Bookmarks whenever anyone checks out a book.
